Editorial Policy
USMFG.NEWS is a headline service. We point readers to the best available reporting on American manufacturing and make it clear who did that reporting.
What gets linked
We link to reporting that matters to the people who make, move, maintain, and buy for American industry. That includes plants, supply chains, workforce, technology, regulation, safety, energy, and the other industrial sectors we cover. We prefer named, accountable sources: established news organizations, trade publications, government agencies, courts, and official company or association announcements.
Attribution
- Every headline names its source and links directly to the original.
- We don't republish articles, and we don't use publishers' photographs.
- When a link goes to a company or association announcement rather than independent reporting, the source shows who issued it.
- Some sources require a subscription. We link to them when they have the best reporting.
How headlines are written
Our editors may shorten or rewrite a headline to make it clearer or to fit the page. A headline on USMFG.NEWS never claims more than the linked source reports. Figures, names, and quotes come from the source.
Labels and times
- Breaking marks a story that is still developing. Details may change as the source updates its reporting.
- Story times are the original source's publication time, shown in U.S. Eastern Time (ET). If a source doesn't give a publication time, we don't show one. The lead story's Updated time is when USMFG.NEWS last updated it.
- Top Stories and Editor's Picks are chosen by our editors. Editor's Picks are stories we think are worth your time; they are not based on traffic or analytics. Neither section is for sale.
Corrections
If a headline, source, time, or link is wrong, we fix it as soon as we confirm the error. If a source corrects or retracts its own reporting, we update or remove our link. To report an error, email news@usmfg.news with "Correction:" in the subject line and include the headline as it appears.
Sponsorship and advertising
USMFG.NEWS is sponsored by Beeline Purchasing LLC. Sponsored placements are:
- Labeled Sponsored wherever they appear.
- Visually separate from the headlines.
- Never presented as news. We don't sell headlines, rankings, or placement in the news columns.
Press releases and tips
We read press releases and reader tips, but they are not published automatically. If we link to an announcement, it is attributed to the organization that issued it. Send tips and releases to our contact address.
